Introduction: Perseverance means to try again and again for success. Strong determination of mind is the roof of perseverance. Our life is full of struggle. Success in life can be attained only by sustaining efforts. A man must not heart in the face of difficulties. He should try to overcome them.

The necessity of perseverance: perseverance is the key to success. No man can prosper is life without it. The world is not a bed of roses and there is no easy way to success. A persevering man never loses heart failing once or twice.

Great men: lives of all great men were beset with difficulties and sufferings. They become great and noble by fighting and overcoming them. He who retreats in moments of difficulty is a covered. He is doomed to fail in life. This is why the proverb goes, “Failure is the pillar of success in life.”
Failure: failure should not make a man depressed. He must try again and again till lie can attain the goal. Hence it is said that perseverance is the mother of all success.

Example of perseverance: Robert Bruce, the king of Scotland fought against the English for the freedom of his country. Unfortunately was defeated again and again. But he did not lose heart. He went to a cave and was thinking about the fate of his countryman. Suddenly he found that a spider was trying, again and again, to climb up the wail with the help of his own made net. At last, the spider becomes successful in climbing up of the wall after trying for several times. Seeing that the determined to fight and jumped over the English. It was the seventh attempt when he becomes successful.

Perseverance in student life: a student may not success once or twice. At this, he should not lose heart. Rather he should bear in mind that honest labour never goes unrewarded.

Conclusion: our life is full of dangers and difficulties. We must overcome them. Perseverance is the root of success. It shows us the path of discovery and invention.
