Time has gone, when the power of the sword rules the world. Even during that period, the power of the sword alone never ruled, but the knowledge about the enemy, knowledge, about its own strength, and knowledge of the right time attack, always had played a crucial role in grabbing the power.

In other words, knowing what to do at what time—in what direction and how are the various parameters that lead to sure success. Knowing the timings well, knowing our goals well, knowing our strengths and weaknesses well, and shape them, in the right direction, we can achieve what we aspire to achieve. Knowledge gives the power to mobilize things in the right direction and so it is said that knowledge is power.

If one venture to establish any business, wishes to achieve any goal, he must acquire full knowledge of all the things including his own limitations and weaknesses. Knowledge gives one the capacity and capabilities to know the result of his actions, probability of success and failure, the propriety of his venture and so knowledge is said to be a power.

For a country knowledge about its friends and foes, knowledge about the capabilities of its enemies is very important. In the present world scenario, many satellites and spy aircraft are deployed for the purpose of gaining maximum knowledge of activities going on in other countries. A country that has the maximum and accurate knowledge of other countries can use them for its advantage, it is the `Knowledge’ that rules the world.

Knowledge means knowing things in an appropriate and better way. A man of knowledge can understand the circumstances more wisely, so can decide things favorably. Knowledge inspired confidence, courage, to act at a right time. A man of knowledge possesses immense influence in society. He has the capacity to lead society, mold society in a positive direction, keep away society from the many social evils. A man of knowledge can turn the sleeping people into a thundering force.

Whatever the inventions and discoveries, are seen today, from the need to the jet planes are the result of proper use of knowledge. A human being is the only creature who can use his brain wisely, rationally, selectively, and can do wonders. It is the magic of knowledge man walked on the moon, man has been exploring the secrets of solar planets, like Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, etc. Many incurable diseases in the past are no more incurable today. The progress made by man in the field of surgery, medicine, meteorology, biotechnology, and oilfields of science and technologies is because of the power of knowledge.

The advancement in genetic engineering has put man equivalent to God. The cloning of sheep has been done successfully with the sheer power of knowledge.

No doubt knowledge is an immense power yet we could say without perseverance, dedication, devotion to the cause, knowledge alone can’t do. Knowledge can be acquired through reading and listening making regular practice through an experience all that require, devotion, the dedication of high order.

Taking steps in the right direction at the right time is possible with the right knowledge of every small and big thing. Knowing what to do, when to do, how to do, is the key to success. Use your knowledge under the prevailing circumstance and decide the things, success is yours one has total power over his attitude, outlook, and attitude. One should think positively and act decisively, one can turn the table to his advantage.

Every super-brain, every super personality has used his wisdom, and knowledge with perseverance, dedication, and hard work to achieve success. The power enjoyed by any person comes from the knowledge he acquired and by using that knowledge in the right direction.

The inventions and discoveries of the present day may look simple to a common man as he can’t judge the use of knowledge and hard work behind every invention and discovery. The present revolution in communication, Information, and Technology, has changed the lives of everybody. The computer is being used in all walks of life. The use of the internet has shrunk the world into a small room. All these inventions are the result of the effective use of knowledge with hard work and devotion. Curiosity is the mother of knowledge. Unless you have intentions or craving to know anything you can’t gain any new knowledge. All the advancements in science and technology have been possible with the curiousness of human beings.

The mysteries and secrets of space have baffled and intrigued scientists since time immemorial. It was the incessant quest to know more, the invention of the telescope, spacecraft took place, and see the gradual acquiring of knowledge that has made it possible for a man to explore the planets like Mars, Moon, Saturn, etc.

Today the USA is the only superpower in the world, it is because of the knowledge she had acquired and using that knowledge for advancement. Knowledge undisputedly gives power and strength, but knowledge alone can’t make one mighty. Knowledge and using the knowledge in the right direction with untiring spirit and full devotion makes a man the most powerful.

Knowledge can be acquired, enhanced through reading. Reading is the key to gain more knowledge. Napolean once remarked, “Show me a family of readers and I will show you the people who move the world.” All learned, successful, and powerful men have been great readers. Again through our readings, we can get to know the lives of great and successful men, the problem they faced, and the means to overcome them. Often their biographies give us a clue to solving our problems.

In times of adversity, clanger, misfortune, a man of Knowledge proves LO DC a man of resources. He can overcome the problems with his knowledge. No knowledge is better than the knowledge of self. Knowing oneself means, mastering one’s passions and controlling one’s traits and faculties. Thus knowledge gives one immense power, so rightly said, ‘Knowledge is Power.’
