Answer: A library is a storehouse of knowledge. It can help a man to satisfy his unquenchable thirst for knowledge. A library is a part and parcel of an educational institution. Our school has a rich library. It is housed in a separate building. Our school library is well-decorated. There are three big rooms in it. The two rooms are reading rooms. Boys and girls have separate rooms. In the other room, books are arranged in almirahs. There are about 5,000 books in our library. They include many reference books on different subjects. There are some rare books on history and culture in our library. Only the students can read and borrow books from the library. For this, they are issued library cards. A student can borrow two or three books at a time and keep them at home for a week. But in w the reading room he is allowed to read as many books as he can. The library keeps open from 9 am to 5 pm except for holidays. The librarian sits at a corner of the library. He is assisted by a staff who helps the students find books. He gives them books and again keeps the books back on the shelf. The librarian and his assistant behave well with us. We feel a great attraction to the library. We are really proud of our school library.

My school, like all other schools, has a library. It is in a part of the teacher’s room. A partition of wooden rails separates it from the part where the teachers sit and take a rest. Ours is not a very big library! Only a few tall bookcases are enough for the books. But the books were so carefully chosen that they serve the students and the teacher’s purpose. There are books of all kinds, such as novels, dramas, etc.; but they are all selected ones. My school library has no full-time librarian; an assistant teacher works part-time as a librarian. He manages and looks after the library very well. He issues and takes back books. He chooses new books in consultation with the headmaster and other teachers. Sometimes he works over-time to make entries into the accession registers. His care and hard work have made my school library a very useful one.

We have a school library. A librarian manages the library. It contains many books. The books are specially kept for the use of the students and teachers. We are not satisfied with the textbooks only. So, we need other books for pleasure and gaining general knowledge. The taste of the students varies. Their liking for subjects is not the same either. Some like books on history, some on story or novel, some on science fiction, some on an adventure, while others on poetry. So, our school library has all kinds of books for the satisfaction of us.
