He thought that the stomach of the goose was full of eggs. If he could get all the eggs at a time he would be a rich man quickly. To satisfy his greed, he cut the belly of the goose but found no egg there. He became extremely disappointed and lost the valuable goose forever. Far from becoming rich, he became poorer. Through this incident, the farmer understood that over greediness brought misfortune to him.

Then he cut open its belly. But Alas! He found no eggs in it. He became extremely disappointed and lost the valuable goose forever. Instead of becoming rich, he became poorer. Through this incident, the farmer understands that greediness brought misfortune for him.

So, to have all the eggs at a time one day he took a sharp knife and cut the belly of the goose. But alas! There was no egg inside it. He was very sorry and started crying. Finally, he realized his fault, and the reason behind losing all was his greediness.
