So, we should plant trees on a large scale. Trees give us food and shelter. Forests and trees are deeply interlinked with the overall development and progress of a country. They make the land fertile and save the land from erosion. There is ample scope for afforestation and plantation in our country. Sea beaches and low-lying areas can be brought under the scheme of afforestation. The sides of roads and highways should plant shady trees and fruit trees. Rural and illiterate people should be motivated to plant more trees.
