Answer: A rickshaw puller is a person who pulls his rickshaw in exchange for money. He is a hardworking man. We can find such a man in towns and cities. He lives from hand to mouth. He is like a day laborer. He starts working very early in the morning and continues till night. At noon he takes a rest for a short while sitting in his rickshaw under the shade of a tree. When it is too hot or it rains, a rickshaw puller demands a higher rate of money than usual. He does not have a rickshaw of his own. He takes it from the owner on a higher daily payment basis. If a rickshaw puller becomes sick, he cannot work, and with his members of the family, he has to pass the day in starvation. During hartal, a rickshaw puller cannot carry passengers and he has to suffer a lot. A rickshaw puller lives in a slum in an unhygienic condition. His life is full of misery, sorrows, and uncertainties.
